'Harry Potter' wins best film, best director Awards

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' scooped the top prizes - best film and best director for David Yates - at the 2012 Empire Awards.
Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the boy wizard movie series, won best actor for his role in political thriller 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'.
'The Inbetweeners Movie' picked up best comedy.
Speaking before the ceremony, actor Blake Harrison, who plays hapless, slow-witted Neil Sutherland in the film, said he did not expect to take the prize.
"We're up against such brilliant films," the BBC quoted him as saying.
"It's films like Bridesmaids and Crazy, Stupid Love. I don't know why I'm here, to be honest," he said.
Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter himself, was unable to attend the ceremony but left a video message.

Jolie excited about wearing horns in 'Maleficent'

Actress Angelina Jolie is excited about her upcoming film "Maleficent" as she gets to wear horns for her role and says the character of the villainous fairy will actually be good for young girls.
"I start it in June, and it's a really great script. I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy. We're still figuring out the look. We're experimenting with different things. But the horns are the horns. You have to have horns," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.
The actress will be seen as villainous fairy in the Disney production, which re-imagines the classic "Sleeping Beauty", and thinks the story depicts her character in a positive way.
"It's not anti-princess, but it's the first time they're looking at this epic woman," she told ew.com.
"I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn't mean she can't have other [warmer] qualities. You have to figure out the puzzle of what she is.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly inspired by royal couple Kate Middleton

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie is reportedly inspired by royal couple Kate Middleton and Prince William. The 36-year-old actress loves them so much that she has a photo of them on her wall, Contactmusic reported.

“Angelina’s fascinated by her and says Kate has a wonderful aura. She loves her look and says she and William radiate kindness and sincerity. They’re even talking about a biopic on Kate. Jolie and Pitt watched the royal wedding on TV with their six kids,” a source said.
